Congratulations to the eight members of our Fire Department who completed the final three hours of hands-on Wildland Fire Training through the Tennessee Department of Forestry. Completing this hands-on training was the final step in a 27-hour program designed to teach wildland firefighting to local fire departments. I've said it before, and I can't say it enough. First Responders love what they do. But we can't deny, that its heartwarming when someone goes above and beyond to express thanks. One such event happened on Friday July 10th. Fairfield Glade resident, Jack Cahoun, has health issues. The both EMS and fire have been called multiple times to Jack's house to assist. To the over 1300 friends and neighbors that came out this morning to celebrate Memorial Day and to support your Fairfield Glade Fire Departmet by attending our Pancake Breakfast. There was such a huge demand for the shredding event last week and the truck filled up in one hour. FGRS, FGPD and FGFD worked quickly to schedule another event to help out the residents.

Today our community celebrated a groundbreaking ceremony to welcome the new Fairfield Glade Emergency Services Center. The FGESC, located at the corner of Maintenance Drive and Catoosa Boulevard will provide improved first responder capabilities to the residents of Fairfield Glade for many years to come.
