Congratulations TEAM!

Congratulations to the eight members of our Fire Department who completed the final three hours of hands-on Wildland Fire Training through the Tennessee Department of Forestry. Completing this hands-on training was the final step in a 27-hour program designed to teach wildland firefighting to local fire departments.

 FFG Fire was the only local fire department that took advantage of this training opportunity and now has eight certified “Wildland Fire Fighter 1” members.

Upon completion of this training, FFG Fire is now eligible to receive wildland grants from the Department of Forestry. Once all paperwork is complete, we will be made aware of grant opportunities.

This is a great example of the commitment to expanding our knowledge, training and firefighting capabilities to proudly serve and protect our community.
