Your FGFD urges you to support the work of Serve Strong by attending their fundraiser “Corban’s Hometown Heroes Bash 2025.”
Corban Scott Goad was born and raised in Crossville, Tennessee. From a young age, Corban demonstrated a strong sense of curiosity and determination, fostered by Crossville’s values of hard work and neighborly kindness. Corban attended local schools where he was recognized for his academic diligence and active participation in extracurricular activities. Corban was known among friends and family for his kindness, integrity, and dedication to those around him. At 21, Corban decided to go into law enforcement and after completing the requirements, joined local law enforcement and was assigned as a Corrections Officer. He quickly adapted to his new environment and excelled.
On October 8th, 2022, Corban was involved in an off-duty, single-car crash and left us three weeks before his 22nd birthday.
First responders were there for Corban. They were incredibly kind to Corban’s parents. This is indeed a holy task for these unsung heroes. Comforting people on the worst day of their lives. Corban’s parents will forever be grateful.
This tragedy fueled Corbin’s parents’ desire to start Serve Strong, a charity that provides support for first responders.
Your FGFD is a benefactor of Serve Strong’s work and recently received a much-needed chain saw.
The event will be held at The Center on Saturday, October 4th from 7 to 11PM. Please see the flier below for complete details. Can’t make it to the event? Consider a donation to support this worthy organization.
