FG Fire Department – 2020 Q3 Capital Campaign

Extrication Equipment

Dear Residents and Friends of the Fairfield Glade Fire Department,

As many of you know, we are challenged with trying to raise funds for needed capital equipment for the FG Fire Department.   We have put together 4 Quarterly “Campaigns” to raise funds.

Our Q3 Capital Campaign is for Extrication Equipment.   This needed equipment assists the firefighter with removing an individual from a confined and trapped space…car, house, etc.  It is critical to have the appropriate equipment to assist in freeing an individual SAFELY from their compromised position.  Check out some photos of the FGFD in action.

Please help us in our Q3 2020 Fire Department Capital Campaign to raise $20,000 toward

Extrication Equipment.

You can make a contribution in the following ways:

  1. Make a check to the FGFD, PO Box 1547, Crossville, TN 38558

The FGFD is a 501(c)3 and donations are fully tax deductible.

Fairfield Glade Fire Department – 2020 Q2 Capital Campaign

 Hydrant Truck

Dear Residents and Friends of Fairfield Glade,

As many of you know, we are challenged with trying to raise $140,000 for needed capital equipment for the FG Fire Department.

After scrutinizing our needs, we have put together 4 Quarterly “Campaigns” to raise funds.

Our Q2 Capital Campaign is for a Hydrant Truck.

The FGFD Hydrant Crew consists of approximately 10 firefighters that maintain ALL of the 440 (and growing) hydrants in Fairfield Glade. The Hydrant Crew checks the working condition of each hydrant which includes lubrication, cleaning, painting, flow-testing and flushing.   Our crews work four days per week to perform these tasks.

The current Hydrant Truck is a 1992 Chevy 2500 and almost 28 years old.   All efforts have been made to refurbish this vehicle and keep it working but the time has come to replace it.

Please help us with our Q2 2020 Fire Department Capital Campaign to raise $25,000 toward the replacement of a new Hydrant Truck.

You can make a contribution in the following ways:

1.      Make a check to the FGFD, PO Box 1547, TN 38558

2.      Drop a check by the FGFD, on Peavine Road

3.      PayPal via the link below.

Thank you very much for your help & support to the Fairfield Glade community to be safe and secure.

With Gratitude,

Fairfield Glade Fire Department

Q1 Capital Campaign

We are BLESSED in our community to have dedicated VOLUNTEER firefighting professionals, with support of their families, to keep us safe and secure here in Fairfield Glade.

As first responders to fires, public safety issues, medical emergencies, and disasters of many kinds, the Fairfield Glade VOLUNTEER Fire Department protects the lives and property of Fairfield Glade residents, businesses and visitors. The Department advances public safety through its fire prevention, investigation, and education programs. The timely delivery of these services enables our VOLUNTEER Fire Department to make significant contributions to all that live here.  They strive to continue to expand new safety and security efforts.

The Department has been working diligently to identify needs, requirements and priorities as part of its necessary 2020 operating and capital budget which sustains service and necessary improvements.

This year’s plan calls for $140,000 in capital investments which were not allocated as part of the obtained operating donations of $120,000 from the Fairfield Glade Community Club and Cumberland County Government.

The 2020 plan now includes funding appeals for outdated vehicles, equipment, and gear.  This will be spread out throughout the year.  The Fundraising Committee would like you to know how your donations will make an impact.  Our first priority and appeal is to replace outdated hoses that are key equipment on every fire engine.

The Fire Department has reviewed the specifications and conservatively, it will cost $25,000 to replace the aged Fire Hoses.

Please join us in our first 2020 Fire Department Campaign to raise $25,000 and replace this necessary safety equipment…Fire Hoses.
